    Make Interpretations

Based on what you see. Ask "What did I see that makes me think this way?"

    Wonder

    Go beyond Interpretations

    Think beyond original interpretations.

New ideas arise along the process.

  • What is See Think Wonder?

    • "See Think Wonder" is one of the Thinking Routines developed by Project Zero from Harvard Graduation School of Education. Project Zero developed and open-sourced multiple Thinking Routines on its website for teachers around the world.

    • The purpose of using "See Think Wonder" is to help students look slowly and closely, develop thoughtful interpretations, and stimulate broader curiosity.

STW in the Challenge vs. Original Concept

    • The method used in the Challenge derives from the concept of Harvard Project Zero but has been fine-tuned. We integrate MIT systems thinking and Harvard Project Zero sub-project Agency by Design, which leads thinking towards action and encourages students to validate designs and creations.

    • The original concept of "See Think Wonder" in Project Zero encourages group discussion. In "See Think Wonder Challenge," Round 1 and Round 2 are designed for individuals to encourage more participation. Teamwork will only be conducted in the Final Round.

The design of the Challenge focus on the cultivation of abilities, inspiration of thinking, and expanding of horizons. It all begins with "observation" to engage students and involves a significant amount of "designs." We provide simulated Round 1 and Round 2 in the prior Challenge in a PPT format, enabling teachers to understand the designs and implement them in the class. During the exercise, students can gradually develop "observation" and "thinking" abilities, learn to ask questions, and know how to collect information to support ideas. You can download the "Resource Pakage" below.
